Liverpool have turned their attention to Fiorentina shot-stopper Neto, after failing to find a breakthrough with Swansea City for Michel Vorm.

The 25 year old Brazilian keeper has established himself as the undisputed number one for Viola boss Vincenzo Montella after an initial shaky start to his career in Florence.

The Sunday People report that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on adding some competition to incumbent Simon Mignolet.

Neto only has one year left on his existing deal, so Fiorentina could be tempted to sell now rather than risk losing him on a free at the end of the season.

The Brazilian has emerged as the number one priority now that talks with Swansea over goalkeeper Michel Vorm have come to a standstill.
