Serie B side Livorno have announced a new partnership with French First Divison runners-up Monaco that will see players join the second tier side on loan.

Livorno suffered relegation from Serie A at the end of last season and club president Aldo Spinelli has revealed that the deal will see three players arrive in the near future.

“We have ratified a partnership with Monaco that will allow us to have three [of their] players,” Spinelli told La Nazione.

“[The players] include a central defender and a striker, [they will arrive] in the coming hours.”

The names of the three players have not yet been revealed by either side but they will hope to play a key role in ensuring a swift return to Serie A action for Livorno.
