Manuel Garcia Quilon, agent of Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia, has denied rumours linking his client with a move to Napoli this summer.
The Citizens are expected to offload the 27-year-old before the start of the 2014-15 campaign and recent reports have suggested that the Spain international has been in advanced talks with the Partenopei as of late, though his agent insists that there haven’t been any negotiations with the Italian side at all.
Quilon spoke to TuttoNapoli.net about his client’s supposed link with Napoli and completely rejected any involvement in such a transfer.
“I am not involved in any negotiations involving Javi Garcia and Napoli,” said the agent. “The information that has been published in the last few days has been completely false.
“We have never even talked about this possibility. Again, I’m not dealing with this operation at all, I absolutely deny all false reports of negotiations.”
Javi Garcia made 29 Premier League appearances for Manchester City last term.
