Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly injected new hope into the club’s efforts to sign Arturo Vidal from Juventus and hopes to work out a deal by next week.
The Red Devils have been linked with Vidal all summer long and after their enquiry for Roma’s Kevin Strootman was rejected, they’ve decided to act quickly and make an official bid for the player nicknamed ‘Il Guerriero’ during the next few days.
The Chilean had dismissed reports that he was headed for Old Trafford earlier this week, however, according to the Sunday People, van Gaal is hopeful of signing the player with an offer of €45 million that should be too good for the Bianconeri to turn down.
Negotiations are set to resume on Monday ahead of the 27-year-old’s return to training as he comes back from vacation following the World Cup.
