Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly plotting a move for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman.
The 24-year-old has attracted much attention from Manchester United and remains on top of van Gaal’s wish list this summer as the Dutch manager looks to restore the Red Devils to Champions League football.
Manchester United has already completed the big money signings of Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, with van Gaal prepared to offer Roma around €30 million for Strootman according to The Daily Star.
In addition to an expected move for Strootman, van Gaal has his sights set on fellow countrymen Stefan de Vrij and Daley Blind as he looks create a Dutch revolution at Old Trafford.
Strootman made the move to Roma last summer in a deal worth €17 million, but did not complete his first season with the Giallorossi as he suffered a serious knee injury in March which kept him out of the Dutch squad at the World Cup.
