Inter boss Walter Mazzarri believes the Biscione’s friendly match against Manchester United will be a good test for his players.

The Nerazzurri will be facing the Red Devils in their Guinness International Champions Cup match on Tuesday and the tactician hopes his squad can repeat the success they had against Real Madrid earlier in the friendly tournament, as they were able to secure a win in penalties.

Mazzarri spoke to Inter Channel ahead of the meeting with Manchester United about any possible changes he might make to his line up for the game, while also commenting on the victory over Madrid.

“Revisiting the game against Real Madrid, I must say that I’m even more satisfied and happy,” said 52-year-old.

“The team was able to suffer and really wanted the result all the way to the end, including during the penalties. I’m very happy and I had talked to the guys.

“Good performances like these act as injections of confidence that give us strength and conviction ahead of our other matches here in the United States, which will also last for the beginning of the new season.

“The match against Manchester United will be a good test for us.

“Will I change anything? I’ll talk to the players who took the field against Real Madrid, but I don’t think there will be any problems.

“They are used to taking the field with continuity.”
