Alexander Merkel of Udinese, who spent half of last season on Loan at Watford in the Skybet Championship, will spend next year at Grasshoppers FC.
The Kazakh-born German midfielder only featured eleven times for the Hornets during his time in England and has been shipped out again by Udinese, this time to the Swiss League.
A one year loan deal has been agreed according to Udinese’s official club website with the player being sent on loan for the third time in his short career to date.
After making his Milan debut to much fanfare the creative midfielder’s career has stalled and he has only made five league appearances for Udinese since signing from Genoa in 2013.
