Monaco have reportedly had an offer of €22 million for Juventus-owned forward Domenico Berardi turned down by the Turin club.

Previously subject of a co-ownership arrangement between Juventus and Sassuolo agreed to renew that agreement for the 19-year-old until June 2015.

Monaco made their sizeable bid in mid-June according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, and the Rouges et Blancs may be looking to bolster their squad ahead of James Rodriguez’s expected move to Real Madrid.

Berardi put in a string of impressive performances at the Mapei Stadium last season, scoring 16 goals in 29 appearances, including hat-tricks against Fiorentina and Sampdoria, and four goals against  AC Milan, and will remain there on loan for the 2014-15 season.
