Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo has insisted that the Biscione are working hard in training this summer in order to start the 2014-15 campaign off on the right foot.

The 27-year-old recently returned to the Nerazzurri from his post-World Cup holiday and he admits that he’s ready to begin preparations for the new season with hopes of winning right from the first match.

Nagatomo spoke to Inter Channel about his vacation after the World Cup and his mission to help the San Siro outfit reach success next term, while also praising Japan national team coach Alberto Zaccheroni for all he has done for the Japanese squad.

“I spent my holiday in Japan,” said the defender. “I had a lovely holiday with my family and some friends, I’ve been fine.

“As for the training camp, I must say that there is a great desire to do well. We have to win and we have to start the season big, we hope to do well this season.

“Zaccheroni? My country’s national team has grown so much under him, I have to thank him so much for that.”
