Raul Albiol Pepe Reina - NapoliNapoli and Liverpool are still negotiating over goalkeeper Pepe Reina, but so far an agreement is not even close.

The Partenopei are pushing for a loan transfer while the Reds are only interested in a deal which would see the Spaniard leave the club on a permanent basis.

According to TuttoSport, Brendan Rodgers’ side have offered the stopper to Napoli for just 3 million but coach Rafael Benitez has refused to budge.

The situation mirrors one of Napoli’s other interests in this transfer window as talks to sign Michu from Premier League side Swansea City are still in ongoing after the two sides failed to agree on whether the transfer should be temporary or permanent.

Napoli coach Benitez was in charge of the Anfield club when they signed Reina from Villarreal in the summer of 2005.
