Michu - SwanseaThe chances of Serie A club Napoli bringing Swansea City striker Michu to the San Paolo are looking slim as La Liga club Atletico Madrid are looking to acquire his services.

The 28-year-old Spanish striker battled with injury last season and he looks set to leave the English Premier League.

According to Daily Mirror, Atletico Madrid are interested in Michu and he has told Swansea that he would like to return to Spain.

Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon wanted Michu to be a back-up for Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain. It seems that Los Colchoneros will have the upper hand now that the forward has made his intentions to return home.

Michu has been at Swansea since the 2012-13 English Premier League season and the Spaniard has scored 20 goals in 52 league matches for the Swans.

The striker from the Asturias province in Spain won his solitary cap for La Furia Roja last year in World Cup qualifier against Belarus.
