According to Sport Italia, Napoli frustration over trying to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Christoph Kramer has led them to his former teammate in Xhaka.
The 21 year old Swiss international has established himself as a key member for Gladbach and his performances have attracted the attention of Napoli boss Rafa Benitez.
Xhaka would cost no less than €10 million, as Gladbach are in no rush to sell one of their most valuable assets.
Xhaka has score one goal in 62 appearances for the German club since joining from Basel in 2012.
