The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to the Partenopei as they are looking for a midfielder but it is unlikely that the Neapolitan outfit will be able to complete a move for the World Cup winner.

Since his appearance at the World Cup for Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are now only prepared to listen to offers of around €20 million for the youngster according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Solingen native has yet to make a senior league appearance for Bayer but has enjoyed successful loan spells with both VFL Bochum and most recently Borussia Monchengladbach where he earned his first call up to the Germany national squad.
