Napoli have held talks with Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka over a possible move to the Partenopei.

The 21-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach player who once dubbed the ‘young Schweinsteiger’ by former Swiss national team coach Ottmar Hitzfeld joined die Fohlen in 2012, and has reportedly met up with representatives from Napoli.

According to Sky Sport Italia, a meeting took place between Xhaka’s agent and Napoli representatives in which the Partenopei were informed that the German outit will be looking for a fee of around €10 million to let go of Xhaka.

The report also states that Napoli are looking to sell either Valon Behrami or Blerim Dzemaili in order to fund the deal.

It also worth mentioning that Xhaka has 25 caps for Switzerland scoring five goals in the process, including one against France at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
