Marouane Fellaini Manchester UnitedNapoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon has held talks with Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini to discuss a potential move for the Belgian international.

The Belgian finds himself unwanted at Old Trafford under coach Louis Van Gaal’s new regime and the Naples club have shown interest in signing him.

Sky Italia reports that Napoli want the 26-year-old on loan rather than meeting the €25 million price tag set by the Red Devils who want to recoup most of the  €32.4m they spent on him just one summer ago.

Another obstacle that could prevent the deal from going through are the €4m per year wages the midfielder is presently earning on a contract that runs until 2018.

Fellaini failed to score during 21 appearances for Manchester United last season.
