The Partenopei have been searching far and wide for a deep lying midfielder all summer and seem to have narrowed their search to one of four players with Daniel Parejo of Valencia and Javi Garcia of Manchester City being the favourites over Mario Suarez of Atletico Madrid and Lucas Leiva of Liverpool.

TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting that the list drawn up by coach Rafael Benitez and sporting director Riccardo Bigon will be moved upon, with Daniel Parejo believed to have been approached already.

Parejo played 31 games for Valencia last season with his performances leading to interest from the likes of Liverpool and now Napoli, but it is believed the Spaniard wants to stay at his current club.

While both Mario Suarez and Lucas Leiva are looking for first team football next season, talks with Atletico and Liverpool may prove difficult meaning that Man City midfielder Javi Garcia is next on the list of possible acquisitions for the Partenopei.
