Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami’s transfer to Bundesliga side Hamburg is all but done with a medical all that separates a deal from being completed.
The 29 year old Swiss international has been linked with a move away from the Partenopei this summer with Inter and Atletico Madrid keen admirers, but it seems Hamburg have won the race for his signature.
Sky Sport Italia report that Napoli and Hamburg have agreed a fee of around €5 million, and the player has agreed personal terms with the German outfit.
Behrami is set to undergo a medical on Thursday morning with an official announcement from both clubs expected to be made after.
The signing of the Swiss international represents something of a coup for HSV, after narrowly missing out on relegation last season.
