cristoph kramerNapoli are planning to make a bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer.

The German international spent last season on loan with fellow Bundesliga squad Borussia Monchengladbach, and prior to that was plying his trade with second division side Bochum for two seasons.

According to  Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno, the Partenopei, who finished in third place during last year’s domestic campaign, are seriously considering making a move for the 23-year-old who was a part of Joachim Low’s squad that won Germany’s fourth World Cup crown in Brazil earlier this summer.

However, should the two sides be unable to reach common ground regarding the player’s valuation, the same report claims that Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva is another option they may consider.

The 27-year-old Brazilian is well known to the coach of the 2014 Coppa Italia winners due to his time spent with Rafa Benitez while the Spaniard was in charge of the Reds.
