Fellaini 1Marouane Fellaini may find himself shown the exit door from Manchester United, with Napoli a potential destination.

The Belgian is unlikely to feature in new coach Louis Van Gaal’s plans, and the Red Devils seem likely to listen to offers for the player, who endured a miserable last campaign under David Moyes.

Sportmediaset report that the Partenopei have sent staff to Brussels to meet with Fellaini and his agent, and with a number of new faces at Old Trafford, it is thought that the midfielder may well be surplus to Van Gaal’s requirements.

English newspaper the Daily Mirror’s headline reads ‘The Fell Guy’,and goes on to suggest that Fellaini would be sold to Rafael Benitez’s side for a cut price fee of around €16.5 million, a little over half of the amount Everton received when the midfielder moved to Old Trafford 12 months ago.

With Van Gaal having already brought Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw into his squad over the summer, the departure of Fellaini may well also swell coffers that will not be boosted by European football this season.
