Giovanni Branchini, agent of Napoli midfielder Blerim Dzemaili, has revealed that his client is close to joining one of two clubs ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.
The 28-year-old had originally been linked with a move to Sevilla this summer, but his agent claims that negotiations with the Nervionenses have come to a halt as of late, with reports now suggesting that the Switzerland international could be in talks with AC Milan and Valencia instead.
Branchini spoke to Estadio Deportivo about Dzemaili’s situation with Sevilla and confirmed that the Napoli man was currently being pursued by two different clubs, though he declined to name either of the teams.
“We have not talked with Sevilla in recent days,” said the agent. “We are close to two other clubs, one being Italian and the other being Spanish.”
Dzemaili, who joined the Partenopei from Parma in 2011, scored six goals and provided four assists in his 24 Serie A appearances for the Azzurri last term.
