New Serie A shirt sponsorship deal agreed

Serie A LogoFrom next season Serie A teams can have a fourth sponsor on there jerseys.

Until now teams were only allowed three sponsor logo’s showing in games but as of next season the change will come in to affect. This kind of deal will allow clubs extra source of revenue.

At the meeting of Serie A clubs on Friday afternoon the new deal was agreed.

“The meeting took a unanimous resolution to ask the FIGC to change Article 72, the rule on jersey sponsorship, introducing 200 square centimeters on the back of the shirt, under the number”, said president Maurizio Beretta.

This kind of deal is not uncommon around Europe as La Liga side Barcelona recently took advantage of a rule in Spain by having a sponsor on the sleeve of there new match day kit.
