Newcastle have set their sights on Juventus wingback Mauricio Isla as they look for a replacement for outgoing fullback Mathieu Debuchy.
The 26 year old Chilean has never really established himself as a starter at the Old Lady, having moved to Turin from Udinese two seasons ago.
Tuttosport reports that Newcastle are keen to take the Chilean on board and that Juventus are willing to negotiate if an appropriate offer came along.
It is thought that Toon boss Alan Pardew rates Isla’s versatility, with the Chilean able to play anywhere in midfield as well as right back.
Newcastle are searching for a replacement for incumbent right back Debuchy who is on the verge of joining Arsenal in the next few days.
