The future of Livorno striker Paulinho has yet to be decided as the forward may find himself leaving Italy.

The Brazilian front man could not stop his side’s relegation from Serie A in the last campaign but showed enough ability to merit his place at a topflight club.

Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Paulinho has attracted interest from the Premier League and in particular Southampton, who have money to spend after the recent sale of Adam Lallana to Liverpool.  However, the clubs are yet to agree a fee as owner Aldo Spinelli is looking for around €10 million whereas the English side are currently offering no more than €6 million.

Should a move to the Premier League fall through, Paulinho has topped the shopping lists at both Sampdoria and Udinese, as it is unlikely he will remain with his current club.

The striker hit 15 goals in 35 appearances last season.
