Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has spoken positively on his time in the capital city and is excited and keen to continue playing for the Giallorossi.

The 24-year-old, who recently signed a contract extension till 2018, was one of the revelations last season under Rudi Garcia. even catching the interest of French club Paris Saint-Germain.

“I want to win titles and see fans explode with joy. That is my next goal,” the midfielder told Calcio2000.

The player whom people refer to as the ‘Jewel of Rome’ was also highly impressed with the Roman fans.

“I know and it’s a nickname that I am proud, because I play for fun and to entertain the fans.”

The former Lyon player then went onto add a few good things about coach Rudi Garcia.

Garcia gives great importance to the midfield and that is one of the reasons I am at the centre of things here,” he continued.

The creative talent was then asked to point out one factor that made him realize his dream of playing football.

“When I arrived in France I said to myself: ‘Why should he do it and not me?’ and I gave it my all to become a footballer.”

Pjanic played 35 times for the Giallorossi last season, scoring six and assisting six goals.
