Galatasaray will battle Lazio for the signature of Parma and Azzurri centre back Gabriel Paletta as Cesare Prandelli looks to recruit him to Turkey.
The 28 year old was a key performer in Parma’s superb season, which culminated in a call up and subsequent appearance at the World Cup for Italy under new Galatasaray boss Prandelli.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Prandelli has asked his president to attempt to sign Paletta who has also drawn interest from Serie A rivals Lazio.
Prandelli is a big admirer of Paletta and handed him his international debut for the Azzurri earlier this year in the friendly against Spain.
Lazio just signed Paletta’s former teammate Marco Parolo last week and are intent of reinforcing their squad in order to better last season’s disappointing season.
