Inter captain Andrea Ranocchia has revealed that the Biscione will try their best to fight for the Scudetto next season and insists that they aren’t afraid of anyone.

The Nerazzurri are currently on their summer tour in the United States for the Guinness International Champions Cup and the 26-year-old is confident that his team will be able to do well in their friendly matches as coach Walter Mazzarri tests out new players and tactics ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

Ranocchia spoke to Sky Sport Italia about Inter’s summer tour and how his captaincy is going thus far, while also commenting on the upcoming Serie A season and the possibility of winning a Scudetto.

“We have worked well in training at Pinzolo and we’ll just have to continue working on our legs, we’ll be facing great teams here,” said the Italian defender.

“We want to do good so we can understand how much our new players have integrated into the squad. We are trying out new formations and tactics.

“Has the group been listening to its new captain? This is a good group and I’ve known a lot of these guys for many years. There aren’t any problems.

“Are we afraid of Juventus and Roma? We are not afraid of anyone, we are Inter.

“The Scudetto? We are Inter and we must always think of this, but it will take a lot of work and commitment. There are so many good teams but we’ll play as we usually do.”
