Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini looks set to conclude negotiations with Monaco for 20-year-old Belgian starlet Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco, who has been the subject of much transfer speculation having also been previously linked to both Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

With his contract set to expire in June 2015, Roma have been quick to pounce as current coach Rudi Garcia is keen to sign the winger now rather than for free next season.

Reports emanating from Sky Sport Italia indicate that Roma have tabled a €5 million bid in their efforts to bring the winger to Rome, while it is also thought that the player has agreed to a four year deal worth €2m per season including bonuses.

It has also indicated that if the move was to be confirmed, Roma may look into the possibility of allowing the player to go out on loan and gain further experience.
