Inter and Argentina center back Hugo Campagnaro may be a target for Serie A rivals Roma.
The international defender is currently preparing for the World Cup final with the Argentina squad, but has been heavily linked with a departure from Inter after falling out with coach Walter Mazzarri.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma have made initial contact with Inter over a move for the 34 year old.
Campagnaro only joined the Nerazzurri last season from Napoli, following his former coach Mazzarri to the San Siro.
But rumours of a falling out between the two have been rife with Campagnaro only making 21 appearances for Inter last season, falling behind Rolando in the pecking order for the second half of the campaign.
Roma are looking to strengthen their squad for the Champions League next season and are particularly short of numbers in defence with Mehdi Benatia, Leandro Castan and youngster Alessio Romagnoli the only recognised center backs in the squad.
