Roma have completed the signing of Cagliari defender Davide Astori on a one-year loan deal with the option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the 2014/2015 season.
It was reported on Wednesday that the Italian international is set to join the Giallorossi on a season-long loan deal worth €2 million, with Roma having the option to buy the player for €6m.
The Rossoblu’s official website confirmed the deal on Thursday, whilst also thanking Astori for his “professionalism, devotion, and gratitude.”
“The club confirms that Davide Astori has moved to Roma on a one-year loan with an option to buy,” the statement read.
“Cagliari would like to thank Astori for the professionalism, devotion, and gratitude he has shown until his very last moment with the club.”
It is also worth mentioning that the Italian international made 174 Serie A appearances with the Sardinian outfit since arriving from AC Milan in 2008.
