Vrsaljko – Genoa

Sassuolo look to have beaten a host of big European clubs to Croatia star Sime Vrsaljko, with the player due to have his medical on Tuesday.

Vrsaljko had a breakthrough season for his club Genoa last season, making 22 appearances before going on to play for his country twice at the World Cup, and had been interesting teams as big as AC Milan, Inter, and even the likes of Arsenal.

Sassuolo have acted quickly though, and according to Sky Sport Italia the nine times capped Croatian international full back is due to have his medical on Tuesday ahead of having his move from Genoa confirmed later in the week.

The signing of the 22-year-old is sure to add even more excitement to the Neroverdi this season, following on from Domenico Berardi and Simone Zaza staying at the club for at least one more year.
