On the eve of the World Cup final Bastian Schweinsteiger spoke at a press conference addressing the opportunity that his team faces in Brazil.

Although modern football has seen Germany enjoy successful runs on the international stage they have yet to claim the title as champions since their win against Argentina as West Germany at Italia ’90.

“I don’t think we that we have any pressure.” Schweinsteiger said.

“We have a lot of players who have played finals at the top level we know how to deal with the situation even though we have only one player who has played in the World Cup final.”

“We only think of one thing- to get the job done. When the whistle blows, the head will only have to think about playing football.”

Germany will look to repeat their 1990 success in Sunday’s rematch against Argentina.
