Roma have all but completed a move for Seattle Sounders’ star DeAndre Yedlin that will see the player join the club next year.
The 20 year old right back was an impressive performer for Jurgen Klinsmann’s United States side at the World Cup, and his form had attracted the attention of clubs all around Europe.
Sky Sport Italia report that Roma will pay Seattle a fee of €3.7 million for the youngster, but will allow Yedlin to play out the season for the MLS side.
Roma have an option to bring in Yedlin in January if they choose to, but the more likely scenario is that he will join the club in July 2015 in time for pre-season.
It is thought that the Giallorossi’s American owners were keen to bring in an American representative player at the club after the departure of Michael Bradley to Toronto FC in January.
