Former Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf, was one of the first personalities to comment on the 2014 Brazil World Cup Final as Germany defeated Argentina in extra time.

Mario Goetze hit the winner seven minutes before the final whistle, handing his side a fourth World Cup victory and equaling Italy’s number of wins.

Seedorf spoke to BBC Sport saying, “They [Germany] were the best team, they grew a lot. The first games they weren’t the best but they grew.” He was also complimentary of the Goetze goal describing it as a “fantastic, fantastic finish.”

On discussing Alejandro Sabella’s side, the ex-AC Milan coach said, “Argentina had a lot of chances and the law of football is if you don’t score them the others will…”

Seedorf was recently relieved of his duties with the Rossoneri, having been replaced by youth team coach Filippo Inzaghi.
