Serie A Kit Watch: Lazio 2014/15 Away and Third Kits

Lazio completed their kit assortment for the coming season as they recently revealed their away and third kits for the campaign.

Being a fan of the efforts of Macron on the home shirt previous to this unveiling, I have to just step back and applaud their work as a whole on the Lazio kits this season as all three, for me, are wonderful.

The away kit is an almost contrastingly elegant, yet quite audacious creation. It is predominantly burgundy with two horizontal sky blue bands across its centre, each of which are separated by a thin white stripe.

The collar and neck line of the away shirt is bears striking resemblance to that of the home, but will be sky blue in colour as opposed to white as they are on the home shirt. On the back of the collar the text “SS Lazio 1900” is found in embroidered lettering.

The shirt will be accompanied by burgundy shorts and socks, with the latter featuring the same design across the middle as the shirt.

The third kit, while nice, is a little strange. The concept of a team who wear such a lightly coloured home kit having a white alternative kit is something I don’t quite understand fully.

This being said, however, it is still a very nice kit. It resembles the current Italian national team away jersey in that it is white with horizontal blue pinstripes being a feature throughout the shirt, the key differences being the shade of blue and the width of the stripes.

The shorts and socks which will match the shirt will be sky blue in colour, meaning the third choice kit will be almost the reverse of the home kit.
