Sevilla are reportedly closing in on Atalanta midfielder Carlos Carmona and could complete a deal with the Italian side for his signature in the near future.
The 27-year-old has apparently already been in contact with the Nervionenses in recent weeks and the Spanish club may be on the verge of securing his services ahead of the 2014-15 campaign, though the Orobici would be unwilling to sell the player for anything less than €10 million.
According to the Corriere di Bergamo, the Rojiblancos could be ready to pay Atalanta’s asking price for the Chilean international this week as Sevilla boss Unai Emery is thought to be extremely fond of his talents in the midfield.
Carmona has been with La Dea since arriving from Reggina in 2010 and scored two goals in his 32 Serie A appearances last term.
The midfielder was also representing Chile at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil up until their elimination by the host nation in the round of 16 on Saturday.
