The new acquisition of Juventus, Stefano Sturaro, is proud of himself for moving from Genoa and feels like his dream has come true.

The under 21 Italian international moved to the reigning Italian champions from Genoa before being loaned back to the Rossoblu, on the opening day of the transfer market for a transfer fee of 5.5 million that could rise to 9 million based on sporting objectives starting during the 2014-2015 season when he is expected to return back from his loan spell.

Sturaro gave a detailed interview to La Gazetta Dello Sport in which he declared his short terms objectives while also revealing some of his personal life stories.

It is a dream come true,” reflected the young midfielder on joining the Bianconeri.

My dad was a Juventino since he was a kid,” he admitted. “Juve are Juve, the champions of Italy!

“I really like Antonio Conte and his team because they’re not only strong but also disciplined. They are always working hard and are animals on the field. They are a team that always wants to win: that is my mentality.

“I will be going on loan to Genoa and as usual I will give my all, as I’ve always done. I must have a great season with Genoa to be able to earn the confidence of those who believed in me at Juventus.”

Sturaro also spoke about his game, of his time at Genoa and his rapport with the fans.

“I play in front of the defense. I am mainly responsible for intercepting balls and retaining possession.

I owe Juric [Ivan] everything. He taught me the secrets of the defensive midfield role in a time when I played under him for the Primavera. He also helped me become a man. I am 20-years-old but many say that I look like an adult [laughs].

“Under Gasperini [Gian Piero] all the players have clear tasks and they know what they have to do. Until January I did not have space to play, then I slowly got integrated with the team as Matuzalem got injured.

“Mattia [Perin] is my best friend at Genoa. We are very good friends and he is a great goalkeeper. He will be Buffon’s heir.

“My relationship with the fans has always been wonderful and will continue to be. Since I am a Genoano and I play for Genoa, it is obvious that I have a great relationship with the fans. Playing at the Marassi is amazing.”

He also spoke about the feeling of representing Italy at U21 level.

I reached the under 21 side late. It was tough initially since I was not playing, but now that I’m there I hope to stay. It’s a bit different for me with the U-21.

“Di Biagio[Luigi] asks me for different tasks than Gasperini, sometimes to dictate play.

Finally, Sturaro also told some of his personal life stories.

I have many tattoos. I like to remember the beautiful moments in my life, like my debut in A, my goal against Catania and so on.
