English Premier League side Sunderland have reportedly submitted an offer for Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso.
The Spaniard moved to La Viola in 2013, before going out on loan to the Black Cats in January 2014.
According to British media outlet Sky Sports, Sunderland have submitted an official offer to sign the Real Madrid youth product, while also stating that Alonso has made it clear to the Fiorentina board that he wishes to depart.
Alonso appeared 20 times in all competitions last season, providing one goal in the process.
