Huw Jenkins, chairman of Swansea City, has said that the club are yet to receive an official offer from Napoli for Michu.
The denial follows several reports linking him with a move to the Partenopei, with a number of outlets insisting the Spaniard was in Naples having a medical..
“From the point of view of the club I can say that we have not received any request for Michu. The only thing I can say is that Garry Monk Michu meet and talk with him about these issues,” Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
Michu was signed by Swansea in 2012 from Rayo Vallecano and developed into one of the star signings of the season, bagging 18 goals in his first season in the Premier League. However, his second season was severely blighted by injury and reports have claimed he has undergone a medical in Naples following the Welsh club’s acquisition of Bafétimbi Gomis.
