The official match ball of the 2013-14 Serie A season has been announced.
As in previous years the ball will be manufactured by Nike and it will also be used in the TIM Cup, the Supercoppa Italiana and Primavera fixtures.
Serie A announced on the league’s official website that the ball will be the Nike Ordem, which is also to be used in the Premier League and in La Liga.
The ball is white with a light green trim that is supposed to make the ball more visible and aid player’s reaction times.
The Serie A specific version of the ball also has pink/purple panels.
According to the Nike, the ball is their most technologically advanced effort and aerodynamic effort and its perfectly spherical design will allow it to fly faster, further and more accurately.
The ball consists of 12 panels with three layers of outing coating and one air chamber surrounded by a polyester membrane.
The Nike Ordem will make its debut when Serie A kicks off on August 31.
