Torino have signed former AC Milan and West Ham United midfielder Antonio Nocerino.

The 29 year old Italian joined Milan in the summer of 2011 from Palermo for €500,000, and had a very successful first season with the Rossoneri, scoring 10 goals in 35 appearances in Serie A. However, Nocerino endured a frustrating 2012/13 season by comparison, scoring only twice.

After massively falling out of favor in the 2013/14 season with only 11 Rossoneri appearances to his name, the midfielder was shipped off to West Ham on loan, but failed to make a strong impact, appearing only 10 times for the club.

“Torino FC are pleased to announce that we have acquired the playing rights of Antonio Nocerino from AC Milan,” the Granata posted on their official website.

Milan will pay half of Nocerino’s wages while he is on loan.

Torino have been linked with Nocerino since his loan move to West Ham and now finally have their player, despite the midfielder himself saying that he preferred to stay with West Ham.
