New Roma signing Salih Ucan has issued his farewell to Fenerbahce and its fans ahead of completing his deal with the capital city club and admitted that he couldn’t reject the transfer to the Italian side.
The 20-year-old midfielder is expected to finalise his move to the Giallorossi on Friday and he has expressed his wishes to do well in the Serie A and Champions League with his new club.
Ucan spoke to the Roman edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport about joining the Lupi and gave a final farewell to the Fenerbahce supporters.
“I will always be a fan of Fenerbahce, but I couldn’t say no to the chance to play for Roma,” said the Turkish international. “So I have to say farewell.
“I hope to be successful in Europe this season.”
The midfielder had been with the Canaries since 2012 and won the Super Lig title with them last term.
