Fernando Felicevich, the agent of Arturo Vidal, will meet with Giuseppe Marotta to set out a proposal for a move to Manchester United, according to reports in Chile.

Vidal to Manchester United seemed dead in the water when the 27-year-old was quoted in the Italian press as saying he did not wish to join the Premier League side but El Mercurio, a leading Chilean newspaper, re-ignited rumours of a potential move when on Tuesday it claimed the player had a verbal agreement to move.

Despite this, Juventus and their coach Massimiliano Allegri have remained defiant in the face of ongoing speculation, insisting that he is not for sale and that the player is happy to remain in Turin.

“If Vidal shows no intention of leaving, our position will not change, Allegri said.

“He is a key player. I have talked to him about his physical condition and he is still not one hundred percent.”

The Chilean newspaper is claiming that Juventus are willing to sell him, however, if United meet the Italian club’s  €44 million valuation of the player.

Ed Woodward, executive vice-chairman of Manchester United, recently said that the club have the money to attract the biggest players in the world and would spend it if they deemed necessary.
