Nemanja Vidic has admitted that it will be a surreal experience when he faces his former club Manchester United ahead of their meeting with Inter on Tuesday night.

The Nerazzurri and the Red Devils face off in Washington DC after winning their first matches of the Guinness International Champions Cup against Real Madrid and Roma respectively.

“It is good that this is a friendly match as I wouldn’t like to play against United in a competitive game,” Vidic told Manchester United’s official site.

“It will be strange playing against players I trained with, against a club I was part of for so many years, but I will be glad to see my friends again.”

Asked if he would play like the tough-tackling defender as he is well-known, he added, “Even against my brother, I would play as strong as I can!”

The Serbian international joined Inter on a free transfer after his contract at Old Trafford expired following eight and a half successful seasons in which he made 300 appearances.
