Nemanja Vidic believes former Manchester United teammate Javier Hernandez would be a good fit at Inter and should follow the 32-year-old to the San Siro.

The Serbian defender, who joined Inter on a free transfer in July, has shared his praise for Hernandez after spending four seasons with the Mexican striker at Old Trafford.

“Chicharito has done some great things and scored decisive goals for Manchester United, in particular under Sir Alex Ferguson,” Vidic told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He is a very strong striker, a traditional No.9 who has an eye for goal.”

Vidic also addressed speculation surrounding Inter’s interest bringing the Manchester United striker to Italy.

“But in the end it’s [sporting director] Piero Ausilio’s decision and he knows what he’s doing and if that means bringing a great champion here then yes, I think he would be a good buy for any team.”

The former Red Devils captain faced off against his former club this past Tuesday in a 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup match where Manchester United defeated Inter 5-3 in penalty kicks at FedExField.
