Belgium coach Marc Wilmots could not hide his disappointment after his side were eliminated 1-0 by Argentina in the Quarter-Finals of the World Cup.

Wilmots admitted that his team struggled after opening goal scored by Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuain, though he did admit there was much for his players to be proud of.

“We conceded a goal after 15 minutes,” the 45 year old former player stated as reported by tuttomercatoweb.com

“Then we were not able to find an equaliser. We had three or four chances but we could not score.

“We tried everything. We tried many things, including throwing Daniel Van Buyten up front as a second striker.”

“I am disappointed but I remember the positives. We delivered a good campaign.”
