Bundesliga club Wolfsburg are keen on adding Sampdoria star Shkrodan Mustafi to their squad for next season.
The 22-year-old recently featured for Germany at the World Cup and has attracted interest from all across Europe due to his performances.
According to Braunschweiger Zeitung, the German club are hoping to steal a march on Juventus by concluding a deal quickly for Mustafi.
The ambitious Wolfsburg have showed they’re not afraid to splash the cash in recent years and may need to do so to fend off competition from Italian sides.
Mustafi was a surprise inclusion in Germany’s World Cup squad, although he played three times in Brazil after being called up as a late replacement.
