AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi has expressed his delight at how his side played in the Trofeo TIM on Saturday night.

Il Diavolo won their fourth ever Trofeo TIM after defeating both Sassuolo and Juventus to finish top of the table on six points.

“I’m happy with the win,” he said. “Something has changed at Milan.

“I hope the players play with the same spirit in the first game of the season; I also wish to see a full San Siro against Lazio.”

The former Italian international then went on to praise forward Stephan El Shaarawy, as well as heaping praise on the players’ desire.

“I’m really pleased with the way [Stephan] El Shaarawy went for goal,” he said.

“Overall, I’m happy with the desire of the players.”

It is worth mentioning that the Rossoneri kick off their 2014/2015 Serie A campaign against the Biancocelesti on the 31st of August.
