AC Milan have contacted Chelsea about the availability of midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, while the Rossoneri are keen to add to their squad following Mario Balotelli’s departure to Liverpool.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has contacted the Blues as he looks to take the Dutchman on loan for the season.
Meanwhile van Ginkel’s agent Karel Jansen has also hinted the player might move away from Chelsea.
“We are in talks with Chelsea,” Jansen told AD.nl. “Of course Marco wants to fight for his chance, but there must be some perspective.
“We are waiting for a response from Chelsea as to how they see things.”
Van Ginkel made 13 Premier League appearances last season, though 11 came as a substitute.
