Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has claimed that star duo Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba are happy to stay with the club despite rumours linking them with a summer exit.

Both players have been linked with moves away from Turin this summer, chiefly to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, but the coach is keen to keep his best players.

“Vidal and Pogba are very happy to be here and I’m very happy to train them,” Allegri told Gazzetta.it from the club’s pre-season tour in Indonesia.

Pogba scored nine goals in all competitions last season for the Old Lady, and the former AC Milan coach is looking to utilize the player’s attacking qualities even more next term.

“I will try to exploit his qualities more in attack. He is one of the best young players in the world, with huge technical qualities and physical properties. but he still has plenty of room for improvement.”

The Bianconeri have just begun their pre-season tour which will see them travel to Indonesia, Australia and Singapore over the next few weeks, kicking off with a game against an Indonesian Super League All-Stars side in Jakarta on Wednesday.

“I do not know much about Indonesian football, but I know that it is developing,” said Allegri.

“It will be a good test playing against guys who will try to ask questions of us.

“The objective of the game tomorrow is to try to improve our physical fitness.

“We are only in the first week of work. All the games are useful because there is only four weeks before the start of the season.”
