Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly looking to bring AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata over to the Old Lady this summer.

The 27-year-old, who joined the Rossoneri in 2012, was a regular in Allegri’s squad while he was still coach of Milan and it seems the tactician is now keen on adding him to the Turin side’s defence ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

According to Sportmediaset, Juventus could be on the verge of making an offer for the Colombian international as the club is also looking for a backup option in the case that they fail to land first choice target Stefan Savic from Fiorentina.

The Bianconeri may face some difficulties in landing the centre-back, however, as he has recently publicly expressed his wishes to remain with the Diavolo and help the team grow under new coach Pippo Inzaghi.

Zapata has scored one goal in his total of 43 Serie A appearance for AC Milan since arriving at the club from Villarreal in August 2012, netting that one goal and providing one assist in his 20 league appearances last term.
